Technical documentation is supplied within a contracted project stage. Deliverables, formats, included revisions and rights of use are defined in the quotation and contract.
01 — Design scope
From project inputs to usable documentation.
The starting point is how the assembly will be used, the available space and its supporting structure. Frames, platforms, walkways, supports and bespoke metalwork require a brief that defines what is to be built and how it connects to the site.
Documentation can detail the assembly and components for the agreed stage. Operating conditions and loading information are project inputs; they are not inferred from a photograph or assumed to be identical across projects.
02 — Preparing an enquiry
What to send for assessment.
Send the information available, even if the records are incomplete. Project location, access for surveys and documentation language are clarified in the quotation for work in Romania or other European countries.
Discuss the documentation your project needs- Intended use, location and available envelope
- Sketches, layouts and existing records
- Available material, operating-condition and loading information
- Supporting structure, fixing points and access constraints
03 — Design connected to delivery
A design connected to workshop and site.
Agreed parts, connections and dimensions can feed into SPW metalwork, welding and installation quotations. Fabrication is released against the revision accepted for that stage.
Required sizing, calculations and specialist reviews are scoped in the quotation with confirmed responsibilities and resources. They are not implicitly included in every drawing package.
