Reverse engineering, dimensional surveys and machinery retrofits
Document existing geometry and prepare adaptations for components or machinery with incomplete technical records.
Technical documentation is supplied within a contracted project stage. Deliverables, formats, included revisions and rights of use are defined in the quotation and contract.
01 — Design scope
From project inputs to usable documentation.
An existing component can provide the starting point for a dimensional survey, replacement drawing or retrofit proposal. Access, function and worn areas determine what can be measured and what needs confirmation from other records.
Measured geometry is kept separate from the target geometry. Wear, distortion and previous repairs are not automatically treated as nominal dimensions in a new model.
02 — Preparing an enquiry
What to send for assessment.
Send the information available, even if the records are incomplete. Project location, access for surveys and documentation language are clarified in the quotation for work in Romania or other European countries.
Discuss the documentation your project needs- Machine, component and functional identification
- Component access, photographs and old drawings
- Known wear, defect and repair history
- Available nominal dimensions, mating parts and retrofit objective
03 — Design connected to delivery
A design connected to workshop and site.
The resulting information can support machinery repair, part fabrication and mobile line boring assessments. Target dimensions and final checks need to be defined before machining.
Measurement method and required precision are defined for the application; laser scanning or certified metrology are not assumed to be included. Reproducing geometry alone does not confirm material, service life or repair acceptability.
Let’s define what needs to be designed and delivered.
Request a quotation for the design stage and specify whether fabrication or installation is also required.
